EVAP & Aftermarket IM
Looking for some insight on properly hooking up the EVAP system with an ITR style Intake Manifold. I'm not having any of the normal problems with the IM. Idle is fine and drives fine.
There is no spot on the bottom of the manifold to hook up the Evap Purge Discharge hose. The MIL indicator is off, even with the purge sel. disconnected from the main harness.
Anybody run into this same problem?
I'm tempted to just remove the entire EVAP system, but not sure if it will pass inspection.

I just removed my entire system but I don't have to deal with inspections or smog.
The best option if you are looking to keep it would be to drill and tap a hole in the back or underside of the manifold so you can use a brass fitting that the hose will fit over.

The HELMS says fuel vapors will vent through a check valve in the gas cap, if the EVAP system isn't functioning properly. Is this enough ventilation, or do I need to make a breather setup?
I don't think Texas cares, they just check your blinkers via mirrors in the garage, and drive around the block to check the breaks and suspension. Not even an emissions check with the ECU. Inspection here is so pointless. If they do notice, i'll tap the IM.
Thanks man!
So what did you do with the hose that runs from the canister to the fuel tank? Did you remove it completely?

I don't think it is of enough concern to forgo a breather setup. I haven't had any problems with mine the way it is.
Yeah, I would look into tapping it if it is a concern for passing inspection. Otherwise, remove it and keep it...just in case.
