Ok ok ok fine......you said your "check engine" light went on after you stopped for gas? Open your gas cover and turn your gas cap a few clicks. A simple thing like a loose gas cap will trigger your "engine light".
Your maintainance lights will flash/go on regardless if any maintainance was done or not. It's just a
reminder and unless it is reset it will continue to flash/stay on.
