Default Transmission

Recently a couple of times, my transmission has acted up and the D4 light on my dashboard starts blinking regardless of what gear I'm in. When it does this, it drives really slow and revs really high like its not all the way in gear. I have an automatic, 1998 Accord EX 4DR and have already replaced the transmission once 3 years ago. When I checked my fluid, it looks like it is twice as high up the stick as it is supposed to be. I got my oil changed at Walmart a couple of weeks ago and they check your transmission fluid as part of the 18 point inspection. I'm wondering if they filled it up too much. Could too much fluid cause these problems? Is the damage repairable?
