It could be a days work for someone who's done it before. It's a labor filled project, because there are many components to take off to remove the head, then put back on properly.
First time I did it, I had the head off of the car in 30 minutes. It's not that hard, if you are somewhat mechanically inclined and you have the parts on hand to do the repair.
