I have a 1999 Accord (Nighthawk Black) which I removed a red pinstripe that had been on there for three years. To tell you the truth, it was much easier than I thought.

At the end of the stripe, I just peeled a little of it up with my fingernail and slowly pulled it off. Paint fade was virtually nill...I cannot even tell it was there anymore.

You'll have glue residue left over, but bug and tar remover works to get rid of it, or if it's bad, a good old claybar wouldn't hurt.

Good luck.
