No offense, but from the sound of your budget, and experience level, a k20 swap, though in my mind the best motor to plop in a civic, is gonna be a daunting task. A b18c1 is an easy swap, and the results will put a smile on your face! It may not take an evo 8 at the drag strip, but will hold its own against stock evo's from a roll. In terms of reliability, i have put 15k miles on my 93 gsr hatch within the past year with no problems. I got my motor from hmotoronline.com and it suposedly had 40k miles. Ive beaten mine pretty good since having it, and havnt seen any oil dissapear!
