It's definitely your ringlands... Mine were blown and the pistons stayed "intact" until I took them out and set them on the bench, then the ringlands fell off... They stayed "intact" for months before I pulled them out...

I originally thought it was my headgasket... I replaced it and to my HORROR, I realized it was in fact the ringlands, and not the headgasket...

Sounds just like your problem... Lots of smoke out of the PCV valve tube? Yep, you blew your ringlands... Hope you do your own work or else it'll prob cost over $1000 in labor alone...

They didn't score my walls or anything... I replaced the pistons with LS (for lower compression) pistons, put in new rings, and it ran like a champ! 13psi full boost, and no smoke whatsoever...

Mine blew cause of too high of Compression ratio - 10.7:1
