the reason you have to "rev it up" is because the gearing is shorter. it's sort of the point.
You'd sometimes have to "floor", operate the clutch, and shift gears rapidly on a manual, right? You can do that with an identical automatic and it will pass and get away from you. I've tried to keep up in traffic with identical automatic cars when mine was a stick shift and I always fall behind with a lot of shifting work to do. Everytime you'd step on the clutch in a stick shift you lose acceleration, unlike on an automatic which constantly gains acceleration as you press the accelerator. And where did you get that "technical" information of yours 98CoupeV6? The gearing on a stick shift are short in order to prevent stalling the vehicle. Whatever all of you say an automatic beats a stick shift. All of your paranoid and rude assertions are annoying.
