ahh. yeah i was wondering about the strength of the trans. do they break hard parts or just wear clutches? seems most autos from any manufacturer will only handle about 50 hp over stock. sounds like honda isn't any different. maybe i'll still get her an accord to drive and try and pick up a cheap civic or prelude for me to play with. or integra. atleast then i can get a manual trans for me.
From what I understand, and have heard, the manual is good to go, unless you were to mod it up to something ridiculous of course. It's the automatic that struggles. I'm sure a search will uncover the exact issues. I believe it has something to do with faulty bearings or something related, at least in the 6th gen accords.
