but they kept pushing back the launch date. they had to go through with it, even at a bad time. and especially before christmas. I don't think they could have launched it at a better time, honestly. I mean, put it off for 6 months? that wouldn't fly too well...

consider the tech used in it. maybe it was a branch for them to walk out on, but I think it was a good gamble for them to take.

sony over the years has diversified themselves too much. their fingers are in so many fields that it was only a matter of time before they failed somewhere
can't blame them. thats how you roll in the corporate world. I'll admit I'm a little upset with the way sony has handled their diversification (laptops and lcd's ), but its not an easy task. lets hope they learn from a few mistakes....
