I had a AEM CAI on my 98 ls......I hydrolocked it twice. That car has been through it all and never gave me problems, I miss it lol.

Changed oil/plugs/filter......started up fine with no problems. I believe it depends on how fast you are driving when you suck up water.

High rpm's through a big puddle = disaster (see pictures above)
