It might click but it might not hold vac.That would be a failing purge.Do you have a vac pump.(not recommended use you mouth i have done this in the past some times tools are not available and time is money.Taste like gas).LOL.

A leaking cvs,bypass,and a hole in the canister will give the same code.

Give it 4-5 cold morning start ups to tell.
