dude we started involvement in WWII in 1939...we werent directly fighting until '41. but we def had chosen sides in '39 and were doing everything except pulling the trigger.

only reason we werent involved sooner was because hitler was smart enough not to come after us until he had dealt with the UK, unfortently his table was moved forward because japan decided to provoke us.

and for the record u said its lasted longer than WWII not we were directly involved longer
