I think he may have meant that each channel will see half the load when its bridged. This is why 2 channel amps that are stable down to 2 ohms stereo are only stable to 4 ohms bridged. That is my guess anyways.

Yes you are fine. Just make sure you have it hooked to the right terminals on the amp. It should be labeled bridged and show you where the wires will go.
