Variable Valve Timing has been around for a long while... :dunno: I believe one of the European automakers started using Variable Valve Timing... BMW? I can't recall really... But Honda was the one that refined it to suite them. Yes, toyota has VVTI, Mtec for Mitsubishi, and Nissan has their own version also.
