Are there any common problems among h22s that need to be looked at? Im talking like small oil leaks etc etc. Reason I ask is because I have a small leak. It doesnt drip or anything yet but you can tell that something is wrong. I have had the timing belt service done and replaced all the seals there and also the oil pan gasket seal had to be replaced. After all that I still got a small leak and suggestions?
Common problems are that most h22's burn oil (more if you hit VTEC alot). Mine doesn't really burn any. Maybe a tiny bit, but not like others I talk to. Where is your leak? what do you mean "something is wrong"? And our oil pans don't have gaskets, I believe. I think it is a liquid gasket. Anyway, if you are having problems finding the leak, I think there is an ultraviolet reactive dye that you can add to your oil and then check for the leak with a blacklight at nighttime. If you can't find a leak, chances are that you are burning oil. It is pretty normal for H22's. If you are really worried about burning too much oil, do a compression test.
