No the ring issue comes from that composite material they made the cylinder walls out of. They may be a hunk of crap to the newer engines in terms of power etc but to be honest Im perfectly fine with what its got. Im not about to go ripping this engine out at 98,000 miles to go thru the hell of dropping a B series or H22 in it. And to be honest the Si engine only makes 30 more hp than this carb version so why bother. Especially when its so hard to come by a set of mounts for a B series.
WHich brings me back to the reason I posted this. Im KEEPING the B20a thats in it. I just want to put a cam on it (which IS available) and port and polish it a bit. I dont need all out performance. Thats what the Cobra is for.
A hunk of crap as u refer to is all in retrospect opinionation. I could say that your rotary is a hunk of crap in comparison to the hand built 32V 4.6 in my Cobra but thats just an opinion like your statement. So if all youre going to say is that this B20A is a hunk of crap then why post? It has nothing to do with the issue Im addressing...
