I have a 94 GSR with 110,000 miles on it.

PROBLEM: It starts in the morning. After I drive it, shut down the engine, do some errands, and then restart it, it will not start. It will crank but will not start. When I wait a few minutes, then turn the key it will start. This problem is intermittent. It sounds like the main rely but I changed that last year.

When I turn the key to the number 2 position, I do hear the fuel pump priming.


I have changed:

spark plugs, ignition wires, coil, ignitor, distributor cap and rotor, main rely, and battery (new).

I have NOT changed:

altenator, starter


Is it the altenator or starter? Is there a way to check these without taking them out and bringing them to a auto store to test?
