A P28 is not going to extract the maximum potential from a D15Z1... not anywhere close. The D16Z6 and D15Z1 are more different then the average Joe would think.

To be honest, if you want plug-and-play MPG, use a CX engine... you can get them for free if you look around.

The VX engine uses a wideband five wire O2 sensor and EGR that will require an obnoxious rewire job, nevermind the 12/16 valve switching VTEC-E system. The CX D15B7 runs on a simple one wire O2 sensor and a basic 8 valve head that pulls similar fuel milage.
