exactly. torque is a meaninless number unless you have a dyno sheet-- it's the entire reason we have the term horsepower-- otherwise we'd just use peak torque numbers.
what use is 370 ft-lbs of torque if it comes on strong at 1k and then drops off the graph after 3k?
horsepower reflects how well an engine can hold it's torque and what kind of torque will be going to the wheels after gearing has been applied.
