If you connect both of those wires to the battery, the headunit will be on ALL THE TIME. Not good.
Just another reason to get the harness. Itll sort it out for you.
actually if you connect the red and yellow together its not a problem.
You will have to manually turn off the radio each and every time you exit the vehicle.
My VW has no ignition for radio. I could turn on the radio with the car off and no key in ignition. Dont know why VW designed their cars that way but oh well....
