That's what a guy at work told me, he said that he wouldn't even consider taking me on, because my car is a "run of the mill grocery getter" and that there was nothing special about a Del Sol. I pointed out that my VTEC is nothing to sneeze at, and that it could develop fairly serious power, and that my 2300lb car and its 160HP has a pretty respectable power to weight ratio... But he kept on laughing!
Yes, because all this time, while I was praising my VTEC's and its awesome qualities, he was laughing!
Guys, help me out! Has any of you ever raced one these "boxes", because this what I think of these cars, the car has no style, its a turbocharged BOX, I wouldn't drive one if you paid me!
Want to point out that the car in question is a 2002, 3165lb and 227hp

Typical Honda ricer story thinking that vtec is EVERYTHING.
First off the Del Sol is 2300 lbs curb weight plus driver making it around 2500lbs. Secondly, you say you have 160hp, your not putting all of that to the wheels, dumbass.
Why does everyone think that just because they have a "b whatever" and that it makes "x amount of hp,that that is what they are putting down to the wheels?
If you think your stock del sol with it's overated, overhyped and undertorqued b16 can handle a WRX, give it a try and see who is laughing at the end.
Your arguements are garbage, "praising your vtec's"(you have more than one?) and saying that his car has no style. That is right i forgot that style wins races!
