I also had gotten an exhaust ticket in the same deal, and they never tested the exhaust...just did the visual inspection and sniff smog test. Does the ref do dB testing now?
I called them to find out if they would do the test based on that infraction code (021750 or 021751?) and they said yes they do the measurement. Takes an hour according to them. Car already passed smog like a month ago, so that shouldn't be a problem.
