I go to Road Runner sports.. They're trained to diagnose running / walking issues.

They also have a foot pressure gauge that monitors pronation.

Then, based on that, they can reccommend a type of shoe, what features, brands and styles will best suit your condition.

If there's one around you, that would be the best thing to do. Running in the wrong type of shoe can do more harm than good.

I run with asics gel evolution 9's. Motion control, extra arch support and more durable for larger framed runners.

Its the only shoe i wer now. I have 5 pairs that I rotate. Make sure you ditch them after 300 miles. They may still look good, but the rubber and foam are too compressed and worn out by then.
