To handle the OT question in short order....the T in G20t stood for "Touring". Nothing more.
All the G20 models used the N/A SR20DE.
The Touring model had slightly stiffer springs and rear sway bar.
It still didn't help the fact that they were far too heavy for the meager power output (±140hp, near 2900lbs curb weight).
Now, back to business. :run:
IMO, the decision is already made.
The 2nd gen G20 is overweight and underpowered.
It also suffers in that the G20 has a relatively small aftermarket following.
If your primary interest is auto-x, buy the DC4 Integra coupe.
Then, closely study your NASA or SCCA rulebook and choose your suspension upgrades so that you are competitive in your class.
I have a latent bias against Tokico given past experience on my last car. So I would favor the KYB AGX and either the Eibach springs or Ground Control coilover sleeves (since you're concerned about scraping).
As you continue to research the aftermarket, you'll find that the Integra has a nearly limitless market. From sway bars to bushings to brakes and all points in between, virtually everything is available for the DC Integra.
