I had some beat up Audi S4 headlights laying around so I decided to strip em of the bulbs and ballasts. The OEM Audi stuff (Hella ballast and Philips D2S bulb) works pretty good for 9006 conversions, almost a plug and play. I'll do a write-up with pics later today.

Anyway, what I'm wondering is if anyone has done an HID conversion with out using relays to power the ballasts. The 9006 plug plugs right into the Audi ballast and I'm half tempted to just plug it in and not relay it. Think its a good idea? :dunno:
