I'm driving down the road, hear a ticking sound, smoke (steam) coming from the engine area. The car shuts off and I pull to the side of the road. I check the radiator it is as dry as a new bag of potato chips.

I Added water; however, when I turn the ignition, the belts are spinning/turning but the engine isn't turning over. I'm only hearing the whining sound of the belts. 2 days later, no change.

Have I killed this car?

Thanks for any words of wisdom. I am a residential electrician, and unfortunately NOT an auto mechnic.
