If the engine you are installing is a different OBD generation than your car, then yes, you should buy a harness. Either get a harness from an RS/LS Integra of the correct OBD or a non-VTEC Civic. And with your inexperience with wiring I would recommend the one from the Integra. Unless you really want to do the wiring.
