umm.. IMO rear lower tie bars compliments sway bars.. especially if the sway bar is thicker than usual (19mm +) the lower rear tie bar helps reinforce the subframe and prevents the thicker, stiffer sway bar from tearing the subframe away...

I'm not sure but does the 99-00 Si rear sway bar bolt right up?

I dont think the 97 lx sedans come with any rear sway bar...

aftermarket ones are kinda expensive though...

if the 99-00 Si bolt up easily, u should consider getting it.. shouldn't cost more than 80-100 bucks. (I think they're 13mm)
