Not sure if anyone may have encountered this problem.

My car had been parked for the winter and I decided to start it today. I had charged the battery last week and therefore decided to crank the engine. The first attempt was a failure,,,it was like the battery had no juice. I then hooked up the charger and tried after 30mins,,,,now I'm getting a clicking sound with ALL the lights flickering on the dashboard. The battery is showing a full charge, as the lights and other electrical devices are operating normally. What could be the issue??
