Couple things, i bought a cheap short shifter once and it just made me grind gears when shifting fast, i have a b&m racing shifter know and thats not the case. So dont just buy a "type R" short shifter off ebay didnt work for me. And for Rick D i dont see how you could break a nice shifter? My friend slammed his so hard the linkage pulled out of the trans causing the case to crack all the fluid to leak out and the shifter didnt break. Thats weird.
