Default Philosophical question

I'm looking for some opinions. My daughter drives a 91 teg that she loves. It has ~135K miles and still runs like a top. A few weeks back she rear-ended another car and did some minor damage to the front end. I replaced the hood and broken headlights but it could still use some professional body work and a paint job.

At what point do you say the money would be best spent on a newer car? Any ideas?

I'm concerned that I'm too emotionally involved in "restoring" this car and possibly not doing the practical thing.
