I have to be at my office at 7 for meetings and whatnot. If I wake up at 6 I can get showered and dressed and out the door by 6:30 which gives me enough time to drive to the office with a stop at the store for coffee and a snack along the way, and be at my desk at 6:55. If I woke up even just 15 miunutes earlier, I'd be able to get out the door with less of a rush in the morning, drive a little slower, and not rush getting my coffee as much.
Problem is I'm a procrastinator in general and that applies to waking up for work too. When I'm asleep and waking up for any reason other than my body deciding it's time to get up, I tend to subconsciously do whatever I possibly can to stay in bed that liiiitle bit longer until I know there's absolutely no more time I can possibly remain in bed and still get where I need to go on time. Then I do everything super fast in getting ready and driving to work to make up for me not dragging my ass out of bed just that little bit earlier.
Oh well, I live with it.
