Like you guys, my 01 Accord LXV6 also needs brake pads. I have not yet done a brake job but I need to do the same to my Maxima as well. I found very nice Maxima Instructions at http://www.motorvate.ca/mvp.php/300 . Since I will be replacing pads and rotors on the Maxima, I don't have issues there.

But since this is a Honda forum, back to my Accord. The Dealer just did my 45K service (last one from my maintenance agreement) and gave me the bad news that the rear brake pads are at 2 mm and the fronts at 5 mm. I am thinking about doing the rear job first. I have printed off 01ACCORD's posted JPGs. Since I don't have any shakes/vibrations while braking and have never gotten the rotors turned on the car. So, is it OK to just replace the pads or do I absolutely have to get the rotors turned. Stealer quoted me $150 for the rear brake job. Any tips on where to buy parts on-line? Hondaautomotiveparts wants a $5 handling fee in addition to $12 shipping. Any where else I can get the parts for cheaper?

Also, if someone could post better scans of the front brakes, it would be awesome.
