OK, so I was a little drunk and touchy. h:

Yes, I know eunuchs are capable of violence. But even if the punishment only "fixes" a moderate percentage of offenders, as I'm sure would at least be the case, I still find it a fitting punishment. I also assume that someone who was not a murderer before would not become one because he has been castrated. There are a lot of rapists who aren't intent on (or even capable of) murder to begin with. I still believe that this (in addition to a lengthy prison sentence) would by-and-large reduce the number of repeat offenders.

I don't consider this the be-all-end-all solution to violent sexual crime, but I do think it is a very fitting and appropriate punishment. Even if the criminal reverts to his ways, if you rape someone, you should consider your balls forfeit, in my never to be humble opinion.

As for women, I'm not sure what an equivalent punishment would be. The instances of female sex crime are pretty darn low, though, so I don't consider it extremely important to the issue.
