I actually contemplated not doing an intership at Microsoft for looking stupid, but my prof will make me apply anyway. h: I don't see how some people can have such confidence. One of my friends just goes up to hot girls, asks them out on dates. Sometimes he gets one, other times he doesn't. Even though they're strangers, I'd never be able to do that.
