In any case, it would require dropping the trans and taking it apart - no less than a $600 job. And IF it's the throwout bearing, it'll be no more than $600. If I need a new trans it's no less than $1400, and if I can get mine rebuilt, it's no less than $1200.

All of which I simply cannot afford. I have no lift, no tools necessary to try it myself... No time.. This shit kills me because I love this car and would do anything to keep it. I just don't have the cash to pay someone or the skill to do it myself.

The reason my transmission troubles persist is because it's an RS transmission on a GSR motor. It just can't handle to load. I put another RS trans on there last time because the trans was $600 and the GSR trans was almost $1600 (without labor).
