I had to take the civic CAI off mine when I got the car--it didn't line up right with the manifold/throttle body...and it was wedged in there...like it didn't fit...I was just speaking from personal experience, the civic piece that was on mine didn't fit right...

I cut the end off and turned it into a short ram...
