Amtrak Acela trains which run from DC to Boston with Philly and NYC in between can go from 110 to 150 mph depending on how curvy the track is. Takes about 2 hours and 45 minutes to go from DC to NYC. Anywhere else in the country isn't densely populated enough to provide enough of a market for high-speed rail service.
