what is EXTREMELY important though is that it is torqued down evenly (crisscross pattern) and correctly. the bolts and nuts don't require much torque at all, so be careful not to overtighten.
Using hondabond is completely optional. I agree that it needs to be torqued correctly over worrying about hondabond.
