yea, if you still hear the motor working, thats a good thing (as a new antenna from honda is around $300, of course used ones can be found MUCH cheaper)

A non-power universal antenna is a cheap alternative for you, just dont forget it when you go through a car wash.

The best way to go is like he said, purchase the replacement mast on ebay, I bought an OEM replacement one for $17 shipped and it came with VERY detailed instructions as well as phone support if needed.

If you need to put the antenna down for a car wash or something in the mean time, have someone turn the radio off while you gently guide the antenna back down, it will go.
