I used to bitch about PA alot...but in reality it's not a bad place to live. No rolling blackouts, no rediculous gun laws, don't get harrased by police officers with tape measures to measure the ride height on your car and we actually have seasons. Not trying to say PA is perfect, it does have its short-comings.
you must have lived there a long time ago because it's pretty close to norcal now. just in the past 10 years it has doubled in more of southern california. just as norcal has.
to you it's a waste of money, to me I can retire, sell my house and move just about anywhere in the country and buy a similar sized house and live out my life in very very good comfort.
this is not to say that I would pay that much for that much space, but as i pointed out time and time again, there really is no point in posting how much more land or sq/ft you can buy in a completely different state.
