I don't have any experience with Crome unfortunately (I'd sure like to have some) but Schmoo says he's had good results and it costs substantially less than Hondata and a briefcase less than AEM EMS.
With Hondata, you are pretty much paying for the convenience. Crome can do everything Hondata does but finding all the hardware to make it work can be a pain in the ass.
