Transmission Flush Procedure, work for 6th gen Accord?
As I was reading the 2002 CRV ower's manual, I found this piece on page 260
"To thoroughly flush the transmission, the technician should drain and refill it with Honda ATV-Z1, then drive the vehicle a short distance. Do this three times. Then drain and refill the transmission a final time"
My question is, would this apply to 6th gen Accord? Most people in this forum would disagree with the transmission flush because the dirty stuff would get back to the gears and that is bad. But if the owner manual (from CRV) suggests a transmission flush as quoted above, would you do it for your car? I always drain and fill and this is the first time I heard about a flush like that.
