Also the turbo creates so much backpressure, that exhaust can revert back into the cylinder from excessive overlap.
I dont think leaked boost can spool the turbo like you think it can... i think the cons outweigh the pros.
Because they're designed for streetability and gas mileage. All the turbo cams on the market are midline cams.
Where do you think leaked boost goes?
