And for the most part, my shocks feel fine, but i noticed that when i recently jacked my car up in the front...that the wheel didn't follow the body. So eventho my stock jack was all the way extended, my tire was barely off the ground! I've been asking around and most people say its a problem with my shocks. I haven't noticed a dip in my ride quality, but the problem is concerning. Any imput on this problem I have? Also, I would then be looking to purchase new shocks, and I am wondering what is good to buy. I know Koni yellows are the best....but they are also very expensive....plus I don't think i need all that adjustable stuff....im not a racer....i just drive to work and back, and I don't want a super stiff ride. Looking on e-bay i see a set of drop-zone shocks, those are pretty cheap. Does anybody have those on their car? or know how they ride?
The next cheapest set of shocks i can find are tokico blue HP for about $220. How are those? Are there any shocks you can think of around that price range...and where can I get them? Thank everybody for taking the time to help me out!

My OEM equivalent Monroe Shocks would elongate a long distance too before the jack would be able to lift the tire off the ground. I guess that OEM shocks have a larger travel than "performance" shocks. But the jack should be able to lift the tire off the ground. You might want this checked out by an expert like your local mechanic.

Not too sure about dropzone but many people would tell you to stay away from it. It may have some longterm quality issues. Tokico is a known brand but most people seem to be buying their illuminas than the blue. Not a real expert in shock brands except omnipower. Hopefully someone can provide more insight for you. Here is bump for ya!
