Think of it like this, you are already tech support for her. You always will be.
If she weren't smart, you wouldn't help her at all. Have her get something put together, so she can help herself if/when things go wrong, and she'll call you second. Especially after she calls you the first time and you tell her "HEY... it's under warranty." But like boog said, It's going to depend on what it's going to be used for. Either way, have her go low-end and fill it up with ram so she can multi-task.

Man... I've been stuck helping a friend of the friend of the friend I helped when that time I helped my friend with his/her computer. The less I was there to help in the end, the better they got at helping themselves figure it out.
