There are practical aspects that have been missed along the way and when it comes to building a daily-driven turbo DC2, simplicity is oft-overlooked concept.
My argument is as follows: Why go to the trouble and expense of a Frankenstein B-series when the B18C1 is perfectly capable of being turbocharged with excellent results? For the $3800 or so that GReddy charges for their DC2 turbocharger kit, you'll net 60 to 80 hp. In a relatively light car like the DC2, that's enough to get into the mid-13s on 91 octane and with zero smog-legality issues.
