VTEC is a system that controls the operation of the valvetrain within specific cylinder heads. The VTEC system does not determine the compression ratio of an engine. Secondly, people have been turbo-charging the DC2 Integra's B18C1 motor for nearly a decade. It is certainly capable of being turbocharged reliably.

Thirdly, in CA there are some legal hurdles that make a B20B or B20Z swap de-facto illegal based on EPA classification. So depending on where the OP is, a "B20 swap" may not even be a legal option.

I never said that a B18c turbo setup wasn't a good thing it is just better w/ a lower compression. And I def. Know that Vtec has nothing to do w/ compression that is the pistons and block and such. The GSR is 10.1.1 whereas the LS is 9.6.1. I probably could benefit from that book but I'm not a complete idiot. U just took what I said wrong its all good. I probably could have worded it better. And I live in MD so most of the things from CA I am unfarmiliar with, and very thankful I dnt have to deal w/.
