I have a 2k2 v6 cpe, never really pushed the car too hard, 5k rpm is the max i ever went...

I wonder if VTEC was ever engaged...
How do I tell the difference when VTEC is activated?
What is the easiet way to test? should I stay on 2nd or 3rd gear when i accelerate?
